Common Tale

It is very common tale of woe to hear a student say that the one subject topic in a course on which he or she already knew a lot was the one which recieved the lowest mark,while the essay rushed through the night before going on holiday was marked the highest .It seems that ,in the context of a course ,a lot of knowledge can be a dangerous thing,in that it tempts you into overlooking the new knowledge available to you in the course.
